- Photodiodes
- A photodiode is a light receiving element that converts the intensity of light into an electric current when it is irradiated with light. The wavelength width and sensitivity to be detected differ depending on the materials that make up the semiconductor element. When the material is silicon (Si), it is sensitive to the wavelength range of ultraviolet rays, visible light, and infrared rays (up to 1,100 nm), and when the material is a compound semiconductor such as InGaAs, it is sensitive to the wavelength range of infrared rays of longer wavelengths. It can be used for various sensing applications by combining it with a light source.
