Application

Reduces glare from surgical lighting (shadowless lamps) and reduces eye strain for surgeons
While conventional medical eye shield films using a PET substrate have a reflectivity of 8.4%, our film with moth-eye structure uses a PC (polycarbonate) substrate and achieves an extremely low reflectivity of just 0.4%. This ultra-low reflectivity eliminates glare from surgical lights and reduces eye fatigue for medical professionals.

Excellent anti-fogging properties
The moth-eye structure is made of highly hydrophilic resin, which prevents moisture in the breath from condensing into droplets, making the glasses virtually fog-free even when you blow on them.

Ultra-low reflection technology using moth-eye structure

We have developed a unique technology to create a nanometer-scale micro-structure on the film surface, mimicking the structure of a moth's eye.The designed micro-structure continuously changes the refractive index for light with different angles of incidence, minimizing reflection.

Low reflectance and excellent transparency

While conventional shielding films using a PET substrate have a reflectivity of 8.4%, our moth-eye structure film uses a PC (polycarbonate) substrate and has succeeded in reducing the reflectivity to 0.4%. In terms of transparency, while conventional shielding films (PET substrate) have a reflectivity of 90.6%, our film exhibits excellent transmittance of 99.3%.

Anti-fogging function due to hydrophilicity

By forming a highly hydrophilic resin on the surface of the shield, even if water vapor adheres to it, it spreads instantly without forming droplets, preventing fogging.
