Dexerials Corporation (Headquarters: Shimotsuke-shi, Tochigi; Representative Director and President: Yoshihisa Shinya; hereinafter “Dexerials”) is pleased to announce that its Particle-arrayed Anisotropic Conductive Film (ACF) for micro-LEDs has received the 2026 Display Component of the Year Award*1 at the Display Industry Awards (DIA),*2 which are presented by the Society for Information Display (SID),*3 the world’s largest organization dedicated to display technologies.
This technology was developed for micro-LED displays, which are attracting significant attention as next-generation display devices. The technology has been highly evaluated as an innovative technology capable of supporting the continued increase of the resolution of displays.

Micro-LED displays are extremely bright and have high contrast ratios, and it is widely believed they will be the next generation of displays. However, to date, their widespread commercialization has been limited due to the incredible difficulty involved in bonding ultra-small pads.
Particle-arrayed ACF for micro-LEDs developed by Dexerials makes it possible to ensure stable electrical conductivity and reliable insulation even in extremely fine areas, such as the ultra-small pads used in micro-LED displays. Additionally, the bonding process is relatively simple, leading to increased manufacturing efficiency, improved yield, and reduced production cost, which are expected to contribute to the micro LED display market.

The award ceremony will be held at 12:00 P.M. (Pacific Daylight Time) on Wednesday, May 6, during Display Week 2026, an exhibition in Los Angeles, California, USA.
Dexerials will continue to create new value by developing proprietary technologies in the display field.

About Dexerials’ Anisotropic Conductive Film (ACF)

Dexerials’ anisotropic conductive film (ACF) is a film-type conductive adhesive used to connect display glass substrates and IC chips. It is one of the company’s core products, and Dexerials has the largest share of this global market.*4 Conductive particles are dispersed within a film to provide both electrical conductivity and insulation. The product has a wide range of applications, including notebook computers, smartphones and automotive displays.
Particle-arrayed ACF achieves high-reliability connections by aligning conductive particles in intended positions using proprietary technology. It has become the de facto standard for flexible OLED displays, where the pitch of the connections required is increasingly fine.
