Dexerials Corporation (Headquarters: Shimotsuke-shi, Tochigi; Representative Director and President: Yoshihisa Shinya; hereinafter, “Dexerials”) announces that it has renewed its qualification as Digital Transformation (DX)certified operators under The DX Certification of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry.*1*2
Dexerials first gained the qualification*3 in 2022 and, following the renewal examination, has been recognized as certified through October 31, 2026.

DX

Dexerials began operations in 2012*4. Since then, it has supported the evolution of technology by developing products that anticipate social and technological changes, by constantly taking on the challenges of creating something that has never existed before, under its Corporate Philosophy: “Integrity Have Integrity and Sincerity.” Currently, Dexerials develops, manufactures, and distributes electronic parts, adhesive materials, optical materials, and other functional materials that are indispensable in smartphones, laptops, and other electronic devices, as well as in automobiles, which are increasingly becoming electronic. The company operates 8 manufacturing and sales locations in Japan (including those of its subsidiaries) and 12 overseas.

Dexerials formulated the Basic Policy for DX*5, and all employees have united in pursuing “business transformation” and “operational transformation”. In the Mid-term Management Plan announced in May 2024, Dexerials aspires to data-driven management that will accelerate its internal digital change and leverage data, as well as the creation of new businesses that will provide new added value to customers by making use of digitalization.
As part of its in-house digital transformation, each department aims to improve the speed and efficiency of operations through their own standardization and digitalization of operations and processes. Utilizing big data and AI, Dexerials can achieve more intelligent business management, such as decision-making based on Company-wide data. This will contribute toward bolstering the company’s competitiveness. Ultimately, by firmly understanding customer needs and matching them with the technological elements that the Company possesses, Dexerials aims to make a broad contribution toward solving social issues, by creating new added value to meet customers’ expectations.

Also, up to 2026, Dexerials has a plan to raise its DX human resources*6 proportion to 10% of all employees. Since the establishment of the Digital Transformation Department in October 2020, Dexerials has been running training programs for company-wide DX promotion measures. In May 2023, D-academy*7 was created for DX human resource training programs, and about 95% of all employees have completed a basic training course (as of end of June 2024).

Going forward, Dexerials aims to contribute to the realization of a sustainable society, achieve sustainable growth, and increase corporate value by continuing to provide high-value-added products, technologies, and solutions that are essential for the evolution of digital technologies that support the resolution of social issues, while adhering to its corporate philosophy of “Integrity: Have Integrity and Sincerity” even in a changing society and environment.

Outline of DX certification

The DX Certification is a system that the government set up to certify companies that are prepared to promote DX in line with the Digital Governance Code*8 of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, based on the Act on Facilitation of Information Processing.

Dexerials has set the following Basic Policy for DX as the fundamental doctrine for DX strategy.

Basic Policy for DX

All employees will utilize digital technology and data to change their own work and business to create products and services that have never existed before, and take on the challenge of solving social issues through the evolution of digital technology.

Under the Basic Policy for DX all employees at Dexerials are united in pursuing business transformation and operational transformation. The Digital Transformation Department, which is the specialist DX organization, is seeking to take three steps, namely a Company-wide direction, digital governance and internal collaboration.
