Kyoto Semiconductor announces two GaN-type UV sensors for deep UV sensing applications. The new products achieve higher sensitivity to UV-B and UV-C deep ultraviolet rays than Si-type UV sensors. By using GaN, the products’ sensitivity is three times as high as Si-type UV sensors’. The mass production of “KPDU086SU27-H11Q and KPDU086SU31-H11Q” are scheduled to start on April 28, 2023.
