Filing of Patent Infringement Lawsuit against SCHOTT Japan Corporation

Dexerials Corporation (Headquarters: Shimotsuke-shi, Tochigi, Representative Director and President: Yoshihisa Shinya, hereinafter, the “Dexerials”), which provides leading-edge technologies, materials and devices for smartphones, automobiles and other products, announces that it filed a lawsuit in Tokyo District Court against the defendant SCHOTT Japan Corporation (hereinafter “SCHOTT Japan”), on April 28, 2023, seeking an injunction prohibiting the sale of the products that are the subject of the lawsuit and compensation for losses and damages based on the patent rights held by Dexerials.

SCHOTT Japan engages in the production and sale of fuse products. Based on its patent rights, Dexerials has decided to seek through court proceedings that SCHOTT Japan be prohibited from selling the products that are the subject of the lawsuit and that SCHOTT Japan compensate Dexerials for the losses and damages incurred by Dexerials related to the products that are the subject of the lawsuit that SCHOTT Japan has sold in the past.
