Kyoto Semiconductor has announced KP-A avalanche photodiode (APD), KPDEA003-T. The new product achieved high sensitivity, high gain, and low noise suitable for OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) that is essential in deploying optical fiber networks. KPDEA003-T has achieved higher sensitivity with a multiplication of 2 times, and the noise is a fifth as low compared to our existing product. Its high sensitivity, high gain, and low noise are suitable for OTDR.
