FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index
Developed by FTSE Russell, a global index provider, FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is an index (stock index) that reflects the performance of Japanese companies which are relatively excellent in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives in their respective sectors. The index comprises 493 stocks.* FTSE Blossom Japan Sector Relative Index is used as a benchmark by the passive ESG funds of the Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF).
Its constituents are selected based on the evaluation of their environmental impact and management of climate change risk as well as an ESG evaluation by FTSE Russell. The index is designed to reflect a sector breakdown of the entire Japanese stock market. This is the first time that we have been selected in the "Electronic & Electrical Equip" sector.
Dexerials believes that ESG initiatives are a requirement for sustainable growth and are directly connected to its business strategies. In 2021, Dexerials became a company with an Audit and Supervisory Committee and joined the consortium of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD). Dexerials aims to achieve zero CO2 emissions from electricity consumption for businesses in FY2030 by using renewable energy and by other means.
