Dexerials Corporation (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and President: Yoshihisa Shinya) is pleased to announce that “Kireia^TM”, an anti-fog and stain-resistant solution developed by Dexerials, is to be used in the E3AS Series Reflective-type Photoelectric Sensors of OMRON Corporation (Hereinafter referred to as “OMRON”, HQ: Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto. President and CEO: Yoshihito Yamada), a series of products to be launched in sequence globally from October 1st, 2019.

While, up to the present time, Dexerials has been developing businesses mainly in the electronics domain, we are moving forward with the application and deployment of elemental technologies in other domains with the aim of achieving further growth in the future. The anti-fog and stain-resistant “Kireia” developed by Dexerials and first marketed as a solution to facilitate removal of stain and improve resistance to fogging by treating the outermost surface of mirrors was adopted for use in washstands launched by Panasonic Corporation in August 2018.

Meanwhile, there is growing need for anti-fog and stain-resistant technology for items such as in-vehicle parts and medical materials, and we have been proposing added values incorporating anti-fog and stain-resistant technology to customers in diverse fields. The recent adoption by OMRON is to prevent problems such as fogging, the formation of water droplets and the adhesion of oil and dust on the detection surface by applying an anti-fog and stain-resistant coating to the surface of the resin plate on the detection surface of photoelectric sensors necessary for the automation of production sites, a technology that has won acclaim for contributing to the reduction of frequency of false detections in production environments.

Dexerials sells its anti-fog and stain-resistant “Kireia” through NAGASE & CO., LTD. (Tokyo; Kenji Asakura, Representative Director and President) and will propose high value-added products incorporating our anti-fogging, anti-fouling technology to customers in diverse fields to expand the scope of our business.
